
Caledonian Iberian ConeXions (UK) Ltd., based in the north of Scotland, is the sister company of Caledonian Iberian ConeXions S.L., a Spanish registered company based in southern Spain. Caledonian Iberian ConeXions S.L. was established in 2006, and is the trading arm of the Dunnet Head Educational Trust, a registered Scottish charity. The Trustīs aims are to hold the trust estate to advance the education and knowledge of the public in respect of the environment of Dunnet Head, Caithness, a remote outpost at the northern tip of Scotland. Its work enhances the social, economic and environmental well-being of the Head through its work with Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH), Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB), the Highland Council, the Forestry Commission, VisitScotland and local businesses providing information to the tourism sector and to the visitors who travel north to experience this magnificent area - the lowlands behind the Highlands.
Caledonian Iberian ConeXions S.L. has offices in Scotland and Spain was launched in February 2006. The company's mission is to strengthen relations between the Axarquia, Andalucia, Spain, and Caithness & north Sutherland and to benefit both areas. With this in mind, the directors have already embraced the Spanish property market and the Caithness & Sutherland Walking Festival under the heading of sustainable energy and tourism. The company is the trading arm of the Dunnet Head Educational Trust, a Scottish registered charity.
The directors of Caledonian - Iberian ConeXions S.L. have had 9 years experience in tourism in the north of Scotland and 22 years experience of working in Spain.
ENVIRONMENT
The site borders the Pentland Firth and is officially on Dunnet Head, the most northerly point of the UK mainland. It which is a prime tourism location offering great opportunities for walking, fishing, kayaking, cycling and horse riding. The perimeter of the Head is designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) by Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH). The site does not impinge on the SSSI.
OUR PROJECTS
Our current projects include the building of two x two bedroom eco-friendly apartments in southern Spain under our sister company, Caledonian Iberian ConeXions S.L. The apartments will have underfloor heating and cooling driven by heatpumps and thermal solar energy.

Development of the Caithness & Sutherland Walking Festival promoting eco-tourism as well as health benefits.

GREEN CREDENTIALS
We are working with the Green Tourism Business Scheme to make Dunnet Head a "green destination". We already recycle as much waste as possible, as well as implementing energy efficient measures where possible.
One of the directors was secretary of the Caithness Renewable Energy Forum from 2004 2005, and has a Post Graduate Diploma in Environmental Economics, Policy and Risk. See profile at Linked In
